Requirements

• Equivalent knowledge and ability of a 20-year machinist
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus advanced technical training
• Sharp attention to detail and a genuine problem-solving mindset
• Comfort with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
• Measure and document as required inspection data to assure part compliance, utilizing mechanical methods, manual CMM.
• Solid math fundamentals (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions)
• Basic computer skills and working knowledge of customer specs

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning centers to produce complex parts from customer drawings and specifications.
• Develop new machining methods and tooling for complex, first-of-their-kind parts.
• Select the right cutting tools and workholding for the material and process.
• Ability to interact with customers on new development projects.
• Interpret GD&T to inspect and measure finished parts against demanding quality standards using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial/digital indicators, bore gauges, and thread gauges.
• Bring ideas to the table for continuous improvement — better methods, smarter tooling, tighter cycles.
• Collaborate with engineering on the design, test, and new product development — your shop-floor perspective helps shape what gets built next.
