About The Position

The Machinist III - Thread Grind position is responsible for finishing ground threads on all rotors to the required size, index, form, and finish. This role also involves drilling axial holes, cutoff, and counterboring as needed, as well as grinding end faces on idlers. The position operates with independent judgment and minimal direction to produce quality ground rotors safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include inspecting rotor thread sizes, index, form, lead, and finish, deburring sharp edges, checking pump parts for burrs and fits, assembling per drawings, and testing per specifications. The machinist will operate multiple machines such as NCTG, CFG, Cutoff, test stands, and DHD, using precision measuring equipment like micrometers, dial calipers, profilometers, lead checkers, and gash gauges. They will also operate electric or air-powered cranes/forklifts.
