About The Position

Under direct or limited supervision, builds and machines parts from blueprints using a variety of manual and CNC machines. Positions are available for individuals ranging from entry-level machinists to highly skilled machinists with advanced setup and programming experience. This role is for the Weekend Shift, Friday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Basic shop math required.
• Ability to work within print requirements.
• Ability to learn and become qualified on additional machines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Ability to use and read standard measuring instruments.
• Takes ownership of quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to use basic measuring instruments.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of geometric tolerancing preferred.
• Trigonometry skills preferred depending on position and experience level.
• Experience operating manual or CNC equipment preferred.
• Previous machining experience preferred but not required.
• Technical schooling or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down projects.
• Machine parts from blueprints and work instructions.
• Safely operate manual and CNC machining equipment.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform inspections using standard measuring equipment.
• Support training and continuous improvement efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.
