About The Position

Entegris is currently seeking a Machinist II to join our Advanced Purity Solutions Division in San Luis Obispo, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for performing tasks related to producing components used in our Ultra High Purity Systems. This role will be responsible for demonstrating proper inspection techniques to ensure accuracy to engineering specifications. This position is expected to always operate in a safe manner and comply with all applicable work instructions. Basic Knowledge of using engine lathes, vertical milling machines, belt and disk sanders, shears, drill press, press brake, automatic band saws and tube facing tools.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
0-2 years’ experience in cutting de-burring and cleaning tubing and fittings.
Ability to learn to navigate through our ERP system to find, drawings and instructions.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs daily.
Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
Focus on attention to detail to drive plant safety and product quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
Ability to learn how to handle material responsibly.
Dependability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends to support business needs.

Responsibilities

Works from instructions, drawings, and lists of various tube diameters and lengths with supervision.
Use SAP to print drawings and work instructions.
Use engine lathes & manual milling machines to produce components.
Follow engineering specifications to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
Performs routine, repetitive operations and processes to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
Complete 6S responsibilities (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety).
Maintain a safe and clean work environment and maintain or increase On-Time Shipments.
Ability to work safely and recognize the safety of others.
Provide accuracy and consistency in work performance.
Demonstrate proper measuring techniques, tool use, care, and quality standards.
Work with a team as well as independently when needed.
Any other duties as assigned.
