About The Position

The Machinist II will perform machining tasks (Grinding, Turning, Milling) to tight tolerance, minimize scrap and rework, perform PMs on a regular basis, lead machine safety and workplace compliance requirements, and maintain an inventory of tooling and fixtures. We are offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus (paid after completing 30 days of employment). This is a 2nd shift position: Monday - Friday, 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• 4 or more years of experience with CNC and Conventional machines and equipment
• Knowledge of product quality concepts, ISO principles, and GD&T
• Intermediate computer skills, including SAP or similar ERP systems and MS Office
• Working knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and Metrology
• Export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology (ITAR and EAR)
• Must qualify as a U.S. citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, Asylee or Refugee, or obtain an export license.

Nice To Haves

• NIMS/Journeyman/Trade School Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple CNC and conventional machines and/or equipment
• Evaluate equipment needs and ensure suitable replacement parts are available
• Make process suggestions for programming new and existing product
• Prioritize production orders or processing requirements and respond accordingly
• Setup, run, inspect, clean orders, as needed
• Train other employees on proper equipment operation and/or setup
• Perform machining tasks (Grinding, Turning, Milling) to tight tolerance
• Minimize scrap and rework
• Perform PMs on a regular basis
• Lead machine safety and workplace compliance requirements
• Maintain an inventory of tooling and fixtures
