About The Position

The Machinist I role at Stryker supports CNC and manual machining operations by producing precision metal components that contribute to life-saving medical technologies. This position involves operating manufacturing equipment, ensuring data accuracy, communicating across teams, and supporting quality and production goals in a safety-focused environment.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years Experience
  • Actively working on machines in a manufacturing environment
  • Machinist Certification from an accredited technological or vocational school
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends, overtime, and holidays as required by production needs.

Nice To Haves

  • CNC Certificate
  • Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments (medical device, aerospace, automotive, etc.).
  • Familiarity with basic GD&T concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and/or manual machining equipment to produce parts that meet engineering and quality specifications.
  • Actively work on machines in a manufacturing environment, ensuring consistent output, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and basic engineering drawings.
  • Perform routine quality checks using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and document results.
  • Identify and escalate equipment issues, quality concerns, or deviations from standard work.
  • Support 5S, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives within the machining area.
  • Collaborate with team leads, engineers, and quality partners to meet production and quality goals.
