About The Position

dormakaba is seeking a Machinist I based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist I is responsible for performing machine setups, tool changes, and adjusting as necessary. This position may be available on Third Shift (10:00PM – 6:30AM), with a base pay range of $18.56/hr. – $35/hr. plus $.75/hr. shift differential. Mandatory overtime may be required as needed. (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Extensive experience operating machines, setups, tool changes, etc.
Understanding of shop math & blueprint reading/comprehension Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Ability to perform advanced quality inspections
Fluency in both verbal and written English

Nice To Haves

SAP or Enterprise system knowledge
Computer proficiency and lean skills
Documented manufacturing education/training

Responsibilities

Operate the machine according to standard operating instructions (SOP)
Document and inspect quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP)
Use micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and comparators
