Burckhardt Compression (US) Inc., is seeking a Machinist I position. This role is an entry‑level position that supports manufacturing and industrial service operations by fabricating, repairing, and refurbishing precision components used in oil and gas and industrial compressor systems. This role is responsible for producing parts from sketches, technical drawings, and blueprints, typically related to compressors, engines, valves, and associated mechanical assemblies. Working primarily in a shop environment with occasional field support, the Machinist I operates manual machining equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses to perform basic to moderate machining tasks. This position performs standardized assignments while adhering to established machining practices, quality requirements, and safety standards common to industrial and oil and gas service operations. This role assists with the rebuilding and repair of compressor components, including valves, compressor glands, and related mechanical parts. This role exercises limited independent judgment while working under general supervision and following established procedures and policies. The Machinist I collaborates closely with experienced machinists, service technicians, and supervisors to meet production schedules, support field service needs, and maintain high standards of workmanship. The position provides hands‑on experience and skill development within manufacturing and oil and gas compressor service operations, creating a foundation for advancement to higher‑level machinist roles.
