This team member will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, parts, and equipment, including materials movement, such as moving raw materials or finished parts. Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform simple calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of basic mechanical principles and shop practices.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move materials, and stand for extended periods.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with other team members.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with machinists, supervisors, and other shop personnel.
  • Basic Safety Knowledge: Understanding of basic safety practices in a machine shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the operation of machine shop equipment, such as CNC machines, manual mills, routers, and various saws, cutters, and presses.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the shop floor, machines, and equipment.
  • Assisting with basic fabrication tasks, such as deburring, grinding, and buffing.
  • Checking parts for defects and ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Assisting with the assembly of components.
  • Reading and understanding work instructions and shop orders.
  • Promoting safety practices and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Performing other tasks as assigned, which may include inventory control, part identification, and material organization.
  • Loading and unloading materials, parts, and equipment, including materials movement, such as moving raw materials or finished parts.
