About The Position

Resonetics Hutchinson is looking for a Machinist Apprentice to join their team. Flexible hours available to work around school schedule. The Machinist Co-op supports the manufacture of components and devices for the medical device industry while attending schooling in a related accredited program.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Students must be enrolled in the Machine Tool Technology program.
Student must be in good standing with the school and maintaining a C average or better.
Strong mechanical and technical abilities.
Able to read technical data such as blueprints and routings.
Machinist Math, GD&T, Inspection methods.
Be able to conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner and is responsible for maintaining a high standard of conduct and job performance.
Shift is flexible & can be changed to accommodate current courses/schedule.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of G and M code.
Proven understanding of tooling requirements to setup and operate machines in the departments, including pre-setting of tools.

Responsibilities

Translate requirements of detailed part drawings and job instructions into machining methods to accurately create finished parts.
Set up and operate CNC machining equipment (while being Supervised by full-time Resonetics machinist).
Set up and operate manual machining equipment, this includes lathes, mills, grinders, etc.
Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time as required.
Provide assistance to others and may be required to move to other machines if needed.
Employee must conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner and is responsible for maintaining a high standard of conduct and job performance.
Ensure written manufacturing and other procedures are being followed.
Ensure proper compliance with company policies and quality regulations.
Focus on safety and follow all safety rules and requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
