About The Position
This position is responsible for setting up and operating the full range of machine tools in the machine shop. Machines could include numerically controlled machine tools lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hobs, hones, kummers, burnishers or balancers. Pay based on level of experience and qualifications.
Requirements
- Reads, interprets and understands blueprints and operation sheets.
- Must have working knowledge of shop math, be able to read blueprints, and understand operation sheets.
- Must be capable of using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of hands-on Machining experience required.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Nice To Haves
- 2-4 years Machining experience preferred.
- Completion of Technical School training preferred.
Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating the full range of machine tools in the machine shop.
- Operating numerically controlled machine tools, lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hobs, hones, kummers, burnishers or balancers.
- Performing functions to set up and operate standard types of machines to complete single or progressive operations on standard parts.
- Using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
