About The Position

As a machinist 1 at MKS Instruments, you will partner with the machine shop team, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and the technical operations teams. You will be responsible for productivity, quality, and meeting the expected daily efficacies. In this role, you will report to the Machine shop supervisor. This posting is for a conversion opportunity for a pre-identified temporary employee currently working at MKS.

Requirements

• 1+ year of related experience required
• Must be current Temporary Employee at MKS doing the work of Machinist 1
• Requires machine shop experience, ability to add and subtract decimals

Responsibilities

• Assignment planning, layout, set-up, operating and making tool adjustments for a variety of major conventional or automatic machines
• Works from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions
• Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances
• May identify and repair minor machine malfunctions
