About The Position

The Machining Operator is responsible for supporting the machining department. Requirements

Mechanical aptitude; and ability to read a print.
Ability to follow direction
Advanced math and precision measuring skills;
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with independent judgement is crucial;
Organization skills, i.e. for documents, drawings, blue prints, work area and time management;
Excellent verbal and written skills with effective interpersonal communication skills;
Successful candidate will have the following personality traits: Driven, conscientious, responsive, detail-oriented and team player;
PC computer skills a plus;
Must have valid driver's license and be authorized to work in U.S.

Responsibilities

Sawing and deburring materials such as steel aluminum and plastic
Manual mill work such as drilling holes tapping holes and chamfering holes
Assist machinery department and machinists with various tasks as directed
General cleaning around the machines weekly and as needed.
Can work autonomously and within a team.
Maintain a safe and clean environment. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
Must be an active team player to support, accept responsibility and collaborate with the team; have effective skills in interpersonal communication, problem solving, critical thinking, empathy, and building relationships; and use independent judgment, creativity, and initiative.
