About The Position

The Machining Operator is responsible for supporting the machining department. Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude; and ability to read a print.
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Advanced math and precision measuring skills;
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with independent judgement is crucial;
  • Organization skills, i.e. for documents, drawings, blue prints, work area and time management;
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with effective interpersonal communication skills;
  • Successful candidate will have the following personality traits: Driven, conscientious, responsive, detail-oriented and team player;
  • PC computer skills a plus;
  • Must have valid driver's license and be authorized to work in U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Sawing and deburring materials such as steel aluminum and plastic
  • Manual mill work such as drilling holes tapping holes and chamfering holes
  • Assist machinery department and machinists with various tasks as directed
  • General cleaning around the machines weekly and as needed.
  • Can work autonomously and within a team.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Must be an active team player to support, accept responsibility and collaborate with the team; have effective skills in interpersonal communication, problem solving, critical thinking, empathy, and building relationships; and use independent judgment, creativity, and initiative.
