Requirements

Competent in the use of various micrometers, verniers, indicators, plug, snap and air gauges.

Responsibilities

Performing multiple set ups and the simultaneous operation of various CNC and manual machining centers, grinding and honing machine to maximize both production and quality levels.
Taking initiative to determine production and quality levels and having responsibility for all aspects of the operation of various equipment including selection and changing of the tooling necessary along with setting the speeds and feeds.
Filling in on any job in the department.
Occasionally setting up for short runs for qualification sizes.
Setting up for other employees and training new employees.
Maintaining accurate production records.
Identification and transportation of any material within the department and/or to and from other departments.
Keeping the work area clean and safe.
Maintaining an orderly inventory of all tools.
Performing any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor.
