Rappahannock Community College (RCC) is seeking applicants for Machining Adjunct Instructor positions. This part-time role involves teaching 'Introduction to Machining: Measurement, Materials, and Safety' and 'CNC Level 1 Milling' at the Kilmarnock site. The instructor will educate students on fundamental knowledge of standard steel classifications and numbering systems, reading precision measuring devices, shop and safety procedures, and inspection techniques. Students will be prepared for the Measurement, Materials, and Safety exam. The position also includes introducing basic machine shop practices and instructing on the set-up and operations of the computer numerical controlled (CNC) mill, including tool set-up and adjustments. Students will learn fundamental principles of CNC Mill setup and operations, perform common inspection processes, and generate a production run of parts to specified tolerances, preparing them for the Level 1 CNC Mill Programming Setup & Operations exam.
