About The Position

The Machinery Service Quoter will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely service repair estimates, parts quotes, and additional repair recommendations. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers, providing updates on repair status and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The Quoter will collaborate closely with Customer Support Representatives, Supervisors, and Technicians to coordinate service activities and resolve issues. Responsibilities include reviewing inspections to identify needed repairs and generate additional quotes, proactively following up on outstanding quotes, and handling customer concerns professionally. The role also involves tracking and coding service work for revenue reporting and maintaining required documentation. Upholding company policies, safety standards, and organizational values is essential.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the heavy equipment industry with progressive maintenance/repair experience and/or equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; both verbal and written.
  • Strong project management time management skills, ability to work independently and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point and other related software.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely service repair estimates, parts quotes, and additional repair recommendations.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customers, providing updates on repair status and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Support Representatives, Supervisors, and Technicians to coordinate service activities and resolve issues.
  • Review inspections (Cat Inspect) to identify needed repairs and generate additional quotes as required.
  • Proactively follow up on outstanding quotes and ensure proper processing and activation of approved work.
  • Handle customer concerns, complaints, and quality issues professionally while representing the company.
  • Track and code service work for revenue reporting and maintain required documentation and reporting tools.
  • Uphold company policies, safety standards, and demonstrate alignment with organizational values while supporting team collaboration and growth.
