About The Position

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies is seeking a field engineer for its Machinery and Equipment Specialties department to conduct machinery and equipment boiler inspections. This role serves the Chicagoland area, IL, territory and is open to both trainees and experienced engineers. Positions outside of the Fairfield, Ohio headquarters are fully remote. Nice To Haves

Machinery and equipment experience within a property and casualty insurance company
Strong knowledge of machinery and equipment, equipment breakdown coverages, corresponding business lines, regulations and consensus standards
A national board commission or have the necessary qualifications to promptly acquire it
Strong consultative, organizational, and presentation skills
A demonstrated pursuit of continuing education

Responsibilities

Maintain territory's jurisdictional boiler and pressure vessel certificate inspections.
Efficiently and effectively manage the assigned territory.
Educate agents on how to market machinery and equipment to their clients.
Serve as a professional resource to insurance agents for business retention and marketing efforts.
Provide a high level of claims service to local independent insurance agents.
