About The Position

Apple's Machine Translation technology is embedded across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS, including Live Translation, the Translate app, Safari webpage translation, and system-wide translation. The Quality Engineering Manager will lead the QE team responsible for the test strategy for Apple’s Translation and Machine Intelligence products. The role defines Machine Translation’s test strategy and qualifies client, server, and model releases. It works closely with client engineering, cross-functional partners, and stakeholders to deliver the automation and test processes needed to ensure high-quality translation services.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of quality or test engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a lead or management role.
• A proven track record of driving test strategy and delivering comprehensive test coverage for mission-critical SDKs, APIs, and applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative thinking, strong problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Apple operating systems, including iOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS.

Nice To Haves

• Deep understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging Generative AI to create and optimize testing products and automation.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python for test automation and data analysis.
