About The Position
This is a student position in the College of Engineering Technology at Ferris State University. The Machine Tool Stockroom Assistant will be responsible for checking in and out tools, maintaining inventory for the Manufacturing Engineering Machining Laboratory Tool Crib, and assisting faculty with various duties related to the Machining Laboratory. The assistant will also help students with machining processes and practice safe working habits.
Requirements
- Student must have previously taken manufacturing courses within the Manufacturing Engineering program
- Knowledge of feed and speed calculations
- Knowledge of safe working habits
- Knowledge of measuring instruments
- Knowledge of CNC programming
Responsibilities
- Check in and out tools
- Maintain inventory for the Manufacturing Engineering Machining Laboratory Tool Crib
- Assist faculty in various duties related to the Machining Laboratory
- Assist students in machining process
- Practice safe working habits
