About The Position

Responsible for maintaining the highest standard of safety and order in all areas of the Lining Department. This job requires frequent interactions with other employees. Must be able to work well with other employees. Candidate must be self-motivated and prepared to take initiative. Maintain machines and equipment needed for production.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years mechanical and/or electrical experience in PLC Ladder logic
  • Responsive: Must be able to take direction from multiple people as needed
  • High attention to detail
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Positive personality and “can do” attitude
  • Candidates with demonstrated equivalent of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Work Safely at all times including proper LOTO of machines and use of proper PPE
  • Promote 5S maintenance and improvements
  • Be a positive role model to the team
  • Maintain machines and associate equipment in optimum condition
  • Make necessary and/ or routine machine adjustments and to repair equipment in an effort to provide continuous production
  • Responsible for knowing how to operate all machines and equipment in order to understand their function and repair them
  • Responsible for knowing and identifying all different styles of caps, jars and their codes(i.e. S, RS, RM, RMX)
  • Responsible for making tooling changes (size) within a reasonable amount of time
  • Be RESULTS oriented using visual KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Be multi-skilled to support team members as needed
  • Develop and follow the standardized work instructions to minimize machine downtime
  • Seek out assistance from department manager/ team leaders as required
  • Support and participate in continuous improvement efforts
  • Be a good listener and understand issues before coming up with solutions (root cause analysis)
  • Willing and able to support and help production of products when business needs dictate
  • Position requires Mandatory overtime as directed by the dept needs
  • Supports a culture where employees address unsafe conditions and behaviors, make suggestions for improvements, and actively participates in implementing solutions
  • Identifies safety gaps and self-initiates corrective actions
  • Strictly adheres to plant safety, housekeeping, and 5S efforts
  • Understands, identifies, and corrects safety hazards
  • Drives a culture which empowers employees to understand and embrace what they own
  • Monitors and verifies activities to ensure that finished goods and raw materials are coming in and out of the facility meet consumer safety and quality standards.
  • Complies with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures
  • Reports any product or process failures that could impact food safety of manufactured products to the location’s Food Safety Team Leader and submits an appropriate incident report
