About The Position

The Machine Technician is responsible for performing all assignments in accordance with safety specifications, instructions, and requirements. This role involves meeting production standards, maintaining a clean work area, starting and shutting down machines, and reporting quality issues. The technician will also assist with color changes, machine start-ups, minor process adjustments, and setting up auxiliary equipment. Safety and quality are paramount throughout the production process.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Mechanically Inclined
• Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training
• Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
• Troubleshoot problems and report issues
• Must work well in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Molding Experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform all assignments in accordance with safety specifications, instructions, and requirements
• Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time
• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space
• Start/Shutdown machines and automation as needed for production
• Reload labels into automation
• Report on all quality issues to Process Technicians and/or Process Engineer
• Assist Process Technicians as needed with color changes, machine start-ups, minor process adjustments and process control paperwork
• Assist in setting up auxiliary equipment needed for production run
• Report all production waste to Production Manager or Supervisor
• Responsible for safety and quality throughout production
• Responsible for notifying a Process Technicians and/or Supervisor when they step off the line to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained
• Perform other duties as required by Process Technicians and/or Supervisor and Manager
• Follow all company policies and procedures
