About The Position

Litehouse Foods is seeking a Machine Technician I (Operator) for their facility in Danville, VA. This role operates a minimum of one production machine, performs basic preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting. The company is a 100% employee-owned food manufacturing company with a strong reputation. Litehouse has a history of over 60 years, starting in Idaho and now leading in refrigerated salad dressings, dips, sauces, herbs, and cheese, with four U.S. facilities. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED Strongly Preferred.
Mechanically inclined preferred.
Fully trained and experienced in the operation of one production machine as defined at each plant and/or equivalent work experience.
Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally, effectively and efficiently in the common language.
Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to frequently work overtime and weekends as necessary.
Must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements.
Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Operate and lead key machinery, striving for efficient output of quality products.
Set up, operate and adjust machinery.
Perform changeovers and washes that meet or exceed specifications.
May be responsible for breaking co-workers.
Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor.
Ensure products produced meet customer and quality requirements.
Perform basic maintenance/controls, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Maintains clean work area and participates in housekeep throughout the facility and grounds.
