About The Position

A front-line leader of our CNC department will lead and coordinate activities of CNC Machinists. Responsible for developing and improving the precision machining, manufacturing processes, and department personnel by providing leadership and accountability for all department matters. Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines. Set-up and operate machines as needed. Follows manufacturing processes and ensures employees do the same. Interprets company policies to employees and enforces OSHA, EPA, DNR, and other agency safety regulations. Carries out emergency evacuation and contingency plans for designated plants(s). Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to employees, and assigns duties. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assist in solving. Schedules work for machine and employees per the direction from production planning and monitors progress. Trains employees

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of reading machining and engineering prints.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manual and/or CNC machine setup experience and fixture installation.
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
  • Must reside within 50 miles of Irvine, CA. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement.
