Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 5+ years of machine shop experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
Experience in CNC machining environments required
Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
Experience with ERP systems (Job Boss preferred)
Proficiency in CNC setup and programming (Mastercam preferred)
Knowledge of tooling, materials, and machining processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Effective communication (written and verbal)
Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of safety, ergonomics, and quality systems
Solid project management and production planning experience
High level of accountability, initiative, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

Schedule and prioritize jobs using ERP systems (Job Boss preferred)
Coordinate workflow across multiple work centers to meet production goals and deadlines
Lead, coach, and develop team members, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and safety-first team environment
Monitor daily production performance and track KPIs to drive efficiency and throughput
Analyze manufacturing processes and implement improvements to reduce cycle time and increase productivity
Ensure optimal machine utilization and proper equipment handling
Ensure adherence to all quality standards, GMPs, and company procedures
Maintain compliance with safety regulations (including hazardous materials and waste handling)
Partner with quality teams to resolve issues and improve overall product quality
Support CNC machining operations including setup, programming, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with tooling vendors to source and improve workholding and cutting tools
Assist with equipment maintenance, minor troubleshooting, and uptime optimization
Drive lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across the operation
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance output
Train employees on equipment use, maintenance, and safety standards
Manage resources, including external vendors, to support production goals
Perform other duties as assigned
