About The Position

Assist manufacturing personnel as required by machining details as directed for assembly. Assist in the assembly of product and maintain documents in support of the manufacturing efforts. The machine shop helper must be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality. The machine shop helper shall contribute to product conformity as apart to their daily job function and shall contribute to product safety. The machine shop helper shall also be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to Karman policies and procedure. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality.
  • Shall contribute to product conformity as apart to their daily job function and shall contribute to product safety.
  • Shall also be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to Karman policies and procedure.
  • Must understand how customer products are impacted in the event of failure.
  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, certain positions may require applicants to be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and Realize AS 9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Work with Supervisor and manufacturing personnel to prioritize work schedule.
  • Work with Supervisor and manufacturing personnel to establish method of manufacture.
  • Use the necessary equipment to support production requirements.
  • Notify Supervisor of required tools and or equipment needed.
  • Manufacture, machine, and assemble to work instructions and or blue print requirements.
  • Must understand how customer products are impacted in the event of failure.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
