About The Position

This role is responsible for setting up and operating injection molding machines, ensuring quality control, and troubleshooting operational issues. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a working knowledge of high-speed machinery and measurement tools, and the ability to read technical documents. The operator will also be responsible for instructing other machine operators on correct and safe procedures and maintaining activity logs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.)
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
  • Knowledge of injection molding equipment
  • Basic math skills and reasoning ability
  • Must be able to stand, reach, twist for up to 8 to 10 hours per day
  • Must be able to have hand movement up to 8-10 hours per day
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
  • Good visual skills for assessing part quality

Responsibilities

  • Perform mold changing, cleaning and minor mold repair
  • Inspect parts under microscope to ensure quality
  • Troubleshoot problems during machine operation
  • Instruct machine operators on correct and safe operation of machine and auxiliary equipment
  • Create and maintain activity logs
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives
