Machine Repair Technician
About The Position
The Machine Repair Technician maintains, installs, and repairs a variety of machine tools and equipment. The role may involve tearing down damaged or defective units, replacing or repairing worn or damaged parts, and reassembling equipment. The technician may also machine replacement parts or perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on CNC, manual, or other plant machines. Additional duties include preventive maintenance on building equipment, machines, and mobile equipment; assisting Machine Repair and Mobile Equipment Mechanics as needed; and performing minor building maintenance such as light electrical work, plumbing, and cement work. This is a three-month temporary onsite assignment in Novi, Michigan.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience with manual boring, CNC milling, or lathe machines.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, install, and repair a variety of machine tools and equipment.
- Tear down damaged or defective units.
- Replace or repair worn or damaged parts or components and reassemble units.
- Perform machining on replacement parts as needed.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on CNC, manual, or other plant machines as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance on building equipment, machines, and mobile equipment.
- Assist Machine Repair and Mobile Equipment Mechanics as necessary.
- Perform minor building maintenance, including light electrical work, plumbing, and cement work.
