About The Position

Scot Forge is a 100% employee-owned company that manufactures custom open die and rolled ring forgings. They help customers succeed in critical initiatives with forged solutions for infrastructure, energy, transportation, manufacturing, mining, and national defense. Scot Forge creates precision forged metal parts used in demanding applications worldwide. The Machine Rebuild/Repair Technician II will perform duties to assist in the building, rebuilding, and repairing of production machine tools.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, and mechanical blueprints
  • Experience with basic hand tools, micrometers, calipers and other precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Work from maintenance manuals, prints, work orders and instructions from Leadership.
  • Repair a variety of equipment involving mechanical, hydraulic and electrical functions.
  • Test and tear down equipment and replace defective parts and component units as directed.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities, check equipment function and operation as needed.
  • Assist in the installation or relocation of equipment.
  • Document blueprint changes.
  • Perform repair and fabrication welding and torch operations as required.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with appropriate guidelines for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.
