About The Position
The Machine Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of machines in designated department. This role involves running material through the machine according to company specifications, ensuring correct materials are used to meet customer specifications, and maintaining accurate inventory entries. The operator must inspect and maintain the quality of the product, meet all quality and efficiency standards, and adhere to all company safety policies. Reporting concerns related to machine maintenance is also a key responsibility. Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation
- Read and interpret product layout and production specifications
- Machine operator experience preferred; strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to follow detailed instructions including reading a tape measure, blueprints, production schematics
- Team-oriented and self-directed
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry preferred
