About The Position

This role is for a 2nd Shift Machine Operator at the St. Clair facility. The operator will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes, performing quality verifications, and adhering to company procedures. A key aspect of the role is contributing to the success of Soundwich by performing job classification responsibilities effectively and understanding the impact of their work on quality, safety, and the environment.

Responsibilities

Help Soundwich succeed within Job Classification Responsibilities
Proficient in the use of applicable ERP System (e.g., PLEX) functions with respect to Job Classification Responsibilities
Efficiently Set Up, Operate and Troubleshoot at least one of the following St. Clair Manufacturing Processes: Extrude, Die Cut, Laminate, Foam Line, Pelletize, Manual Press (Operate only)
Effectively perform Quality Verifications with indicated Inspection Devices, including Visual Inspections (Master Competency Matrix, PLEX Control Plans (Checksheets)
Maintain Hourly Rates set forth by Management
Catch, Label, Package, Sort, and Rework Parts
Understand and follow all Company Procedures pertaining to assigned tasks, and the potential consequences of departure from these Procedures
Knowledge of the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, all Company Policies, and the importance of conformance to Soundwich and Customer requirements
Knowledge of the effects that nonconforming products have on our Customers
Knowledge of the Environmental Policy, Environmental Objectives, all Safety Polices, and the importance of conformance to Soundwich and Regulatory requirements
Aware of the Quality impacts of their work activities, their roles and responsibilities in achieving conformance within the Quality System and the benefits of improved personal performance
Aware of the Environmental and Safety impacts of their work activities, their roles and responsibilities in achieving conformance within the Environmental and Safety System and the benefits of improved personal performance
Aware of how to submit Quality, Safety, Environmental and Business-related questions or suggestions, and how initiate continual improvements
