About The Position
This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying the supervisor if machines require maintenance, while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Requirements
- At least 3 months of machine operator experience within the last 6 months listed on the application (can be a combination of employers as long as the experience is at least 3 months).
- Ability to read, write and complete necessary paperwork.
- Must provide Social Security Number on application.
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring all production equipment is set up and prepared per production schedule, including labels, batter, stuffing, etc.
- Overseeing machine operations and making minor equipment adjustments.
- Performing metal detections and other quality and USDA required inspections.
- Reading, writing, and completing necessary paperwork.
- Performing basic maintenance on machines.
- Contacting Maintenance Mechanic if necessary.
- Interacting with Line Leads to determine equipment set-up and operation.
- Making machine adjustments when production changeovers occur.
- Working on the production line and ensuring product standards.
- Providing assistance to lower-level team members.
- Training new or recently promoted team members.
