Machine Operator
About The Position
MicroMetl Corporation is currently the largest independent manufacturer of accessories for commercial heating and cooling equipment. With over 60 years of industry experience and service, we continue to grow throughout the Midwest and Southwest regions. We are looking to add a few Machine Operators to our Longview, Texas team. This role operates various sheet metal forming and stamping equipment, including laser forming, to produce sheet metal components for assembly utilizing the current standard shop floor job protocols, performs other job-related duties, and completes all necessary records.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Related technical trade training
- Six months or more of machine operating or other job-related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Understand and be comfortable with both the working environment and physical requirements of the role including a non-climate-controlled warehouse, lifting/pushing/pulling objects 25/50+ pounds, and standing on one's feet for a longer period of time
- Ability to do intermediate math skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing machine experience
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings
- Previous use of various measuring devices like tape measures and calipers
