We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operator to join our team at our facility in Asheville, NC. This role reports to the Production Supervisor and is ideal for individuals who are safety-focused, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous Machine Operator experience preferred.
Experience performing Packager duties.
Experience using PI tables, micrometers, and ovality gauges preferred.
Experience using hand tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe work environment through training, adherence to company policies, procedures, and good housekeeping practices.
Perform quality inspections using PI tables, micrometers, and ovality gauges.
Conduct quality testing, including skin testing and impact testing.
Detect quality issues and assist in identifying and implementing corrective actions.
Investigate products deemed non-conforming.
Make adjustments to the extrusion process as required to maintain product quality.
Perform routine maintenance activities on production lines, including cleaning vents and equipment components.
Assist with production material trials and new product introductions.
Monitor production output and operating conditions to ensure compliance with established standards.
Complete all required production, quality, and operational documentation accurately.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of equipment operations, safety features, and process steps.
Demonstrate competency in Packager and Packager A duties.
Collaborate effectively with production personnel and team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
