About The Position

The operator is responsible for operating the machine in a safe and efficient manner according to established procedures and specifications ensuring that a quality product is being produced. Part-Time Nights will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The work shift is a 12-hour rotating shift, with hours falling into the punch day, according to the calendar. Requirements

  • Must be able to work rotating shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
  • Must be able to lift packages weighing up to twenty pounds frequently
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for up to twelve continuous hours.

Responsibilities

  • Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times
  • Inspect assigned job at the beginning of every shift and after each break.
  • Must be able to work rotating shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
  • Must be able to lift packages weighing up to twenty pounds frequently
  • Comply with corporate absenteeism and tardiness policy.
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for up to twelve continuous hours.
  • Communicate any problem or concerns to the supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Properly identify yarn packages for lot running on assigned lines.
  • Perform all job procedure.
  • Patrol job and make sure all positions are running.
  • Communicate any problems to the supervisor related to quality or run-ability problems.
  • Label yarn for identification purposes.
  • Repair breakouts immediately.
  • Assist with change over following proper procedures.
  • Initial labels prior to putting on finished package.
  • Report any mechanical problems by notifying the supervisor and technician assigned to the area.
  • Follow waste prevention procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Inspect yarn according to established procedures.
