About The Position

STS Packaging, a Schwarz Partners, L.P. affiliate company is currently seeking a Machine Operator (2nd Shift) in Charlotte, NC. The Machine Operator is to tend to the machine that automatically measures, folds, cuts, glues, and bundles printed roll stock into finished bags while adhering to company safety standards. This position works in our plant located at 1201 Westinghouse Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28273.

Requirements

• Ability to work 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, including overtime and weekends

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and company policies, reporting any issues, accidents or incidents immediately.
• Establish, maintain, and prep machine: Keep printed roll stock staged at machine & thread and splice printed roll stock into the machine.
• Check quality of bag: ensure uniform registration, folding, gluing, and sealing of bags.
• Make minor machine adjustments and assist with major machine adjustments as needed to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Keep machine running by loading new rolls and starting the machine.
• Maintain cleanliness of machine and work area.
• Load kraft bundle wrap paper to machine and clear any jams as needed.
• Accurately fill out daily shift paperwork.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
