About The Position

We are seeking an experienced 3rd Shift Machine Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for operating machinery to produce finished goods, ensuring efficiency and quality throughout the production process. The operator will perform various manufacturing tasks, including equipment adjustments, tooling mounting, and quality checks. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to troubleshoot issues, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. Requirements

Standing for long periods of time.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Bending, lifting, twisting on a continuous basis.
Ability to lift 70 lbs.
Ability to clearly communicate with material handlers, other employees and managers as needed.
Attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Able to troubleshoot and problem solve.
Ability to clearly differentiate colors.

Nice To Haves

Experience assisting on multi color flexographic press is preferred.
Basic Computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate machinery to produce finished goods.
Maintain efficiency and quality in machine operation.
Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks using production equipment to ensure steady workflow.
Perform equipment adjustments.
Mount cutting dies, print plates, and other required tooling for each job.
Perform quality checks prior to each job and during production runs.
Maintain documented checklists for quality checks, ink monitoring, and cleanup.
Keep machine setup and run times at maximum efficiency.
Troubleshoot quality or machine issues as they occur.
Ensure equipment is properly maintained and notify Maintenance and Supervisors of any issues.
Perform daily and detailed weekly cleanup according to the cleanup checklist.
Identify and report any damaged tooling that needs repair.
Identify product safety concerns and report them to your supervisor.
Maintain proper production reporting.
Perform other duties as determined by Plant Superintendent, Shift Supervisor or Shift Lead.
