About The Position

This role is crucial for supporting the defense industry by providing a full range of connectivity products and services, including custom wire and cable, coil cords, and cable assemblies. The company operates a 100,000 square foot facility in Manchester, New Hampshire, equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and staffed by skilled engineering and manufacturing teams. Marmon Aerospace & Defense Group is a one-stop-shop for harsh environment connectivity solutions, ensuring all products are engineered and manufactured with the highest level of expertise.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of machine operating experience
  • Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
  • Previous manufacturing environment required
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
  • Analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Stamina and strength, standing and or walking for extended periods, lifting materials up to 50lbs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in English, including verbal and written communication and comprehension.
  • Ability to Commute: Manchester, NH 03103 (Required)

  • Previous extrusion or wire and cable experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
  • Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
  • Test operation of machines periodically
  • Fix issues that might occur during the shift
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Maintain activity logs
