About The Position

The manufacturing function is responsible for operating and producing goods while meeting speed, quality, and cost targets. The Machine Shop area oversees the setup and operation of standard machines, recommends changes to equipment, materials, or procedures as needed, prioritizes work schedules based on production deadlines, and maintains a reporting system reflecting schedules, performance, and procedures. The Coordinate Measuring Machine focus specializes in product inspection, preparing layout reports, and assisting production with specifications and inspection procedures. This role is described as part of a management-level job family below executive management. Incumbents typically direct and guide teams or individuals and may handle performance and pay reviews and hiring or termination decisions. In limited instances, a role at this level may be responsible for a functional area without direct reports. Different levels clarify contribution expectations based on knowledge, application, problem solving, impact, collaboration, and supervision. The schedule is 3/12's on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Responsibilities

Operate and produce goods while meeting speed, quality, and cost targets.
Oversee and assure the setup and operation of standard machines.
Recommend changes to equipment, materials, or procedures as needed.
Prioritize and maintain work schedules based on production deadlines and ensure deadlines are met.
Maintain a reporting system reflecting schedules, performance, and procedures.
Inspect products using Coordinate Measuring Machine processes.
Prepare layout reports.
Assist production in using specifications and understanding inspection procedures.
Direct and guide the work of teams and/or individuals.
Conduct performance and pay reviews and, where applicable, make hiring or termination decisions.
