About The Position

This role is for a Machine Operator on the 1st Shift. The operator is responsible for setting up, controlling, and maintaining machines to ensure quality production. This includes calibration, cleaning, adjusting settings, inspecting output, and troubleshooting issues. The operator will also maintain logs, ensure optimal machine performance, and adhere to safety procedures. Teamwork, maintaining a clean work area, and completing standard work and quality checks are also key aspects of the role. Mandatory overtime may be required.

Requirements

• Ability to set up machines (calibration, cleaning, change overs, etc.)
• Ability to control and adjust machine settings
• Ability to inspect with precision and measuring tools
• Ability to test operation of machine periodically
• Ability to correct issues that might occur during the shift
• Ability to maintain activity log
• Ability to ensure machine is working at full capacity and producing quality product
• Ability to complete standard work and quality checks
• Ability to perform visual checks on quality
• Ability to complete process control sheet
• Ability to complete 5s Checklist
• Ability to keep work area clean and organized
• Ability to work individually or with team members as assigned
• Ability to observe safety policies and procedures, including use of required PPE
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized and positive work environment
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• May be placed into job rotation
• Complete standard work and quality checks
• Visual check on quality
• Complete process control sheet
• Complete 5s Checklist
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Work individually or with team members as assigned
• Always observe safety policies and procedures, including use of required PPE
• Maintain a clean, organized and positive work environment
• Work mandatory overtime as needed
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
