About The Position

This position is responsible for operating CNC, Laser, Drills, and various other machines. The role involves machining parts to meet production standards, performing source inspections, daily TPM, and adhering to work instructions. The operator must also complete daily data collection, perform 5S activities, and utilize stop the line authority for safety or quality concerns.

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined
• Able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, mics, torque wrenches, and various gauges and other tools.
• Able to read blueprints
• Good understanding of inventory control
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Must have or be able to obtain a fork truck license
• Recognize the importance of working in a safe manner
• Ability to understand what constitutes quality products
• Possess basic math skills
• Average or above average skills in numeric and visual recall
• Computer literate
• Teamwork: Able to communicate effectively, participate as a member of a team and work well with others to maximize efficiency.
• Quality: Familiar with company policies and demonstrates knowledge of relevant procedures and importance of producing quality products.
• Safety: Follows general and equipment specific safety rules. Uses appropriate safety protection equipment and other safety devices.
• Adaptability: Positive to change associated with TBS efforts.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC, Laser, Drills, and various other machines.
• Machine parts as necessary to meet production standards.
• Perform source inspection using traveling check sheet on every unit.
• Perform daily TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
• Use stop the line authority at any sign of safety or quality concerns.
• Perform daily duties per work instructions / standard work.
• Complete all daily data collection as established.
• Perform daily 5S activities.
