Machine Operator is responsible for performing tasks involved in the fabrication of copper tubing components according to router or work instructions. This role involves reading job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements, and working on assignments that are semi-routine in nature. The operator may utilize hand or power tools, work at different workstations as production needs require, and obtain First Piece Validation. They will inspect production pieces, troubleshoot machinery, perform basic machine repairs, and clean machines daily. The role also includes observing machine operation, detecting defects, reporting issues, and following standard work methods to ensure production efficiency and practice safe work habits. Maintaining the 5S housekeeping system within assigned work areas is also a key responsibility.
