Machine Operator is responsible for performing tasks involved in the fabrication of copper tubing components according to router or work instructions. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature. May work at different workstations as production needs require, including shifting from one station to another, during the assembly and fabrication process. Observes machine operation and inspects product appearance to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. Detects and reports defective materials, questionable conditions, or incorrect routers to the shift supervisor, engineering, or quality control. Place any scrap in the designated scrap bin for your work area. Follow standard work methods to ensure production is as efficient as possible. Practice safe work habits. Responsible for the 5S housekeeping system within assigned work areas by maintaining the work area and keeping the equipment in a clean orderly condition.
