About The Position

This Machine Operator I will operate one or more of the various production machines. Machines operated may include drills, saws, press brakes, punches, shears, high-definition and CNC plasma, etc. As a Machine Operator I, you may also assemble components and perform other duties as assigned. As a Machine Operator I, you are integral in supporting RedGuard Diversified Structures’ goal of delivering customers a quality product on time.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints, follow written and verbal instructions, and perform basic calculations.
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
• Proficiency with mechanical tools; basic arithmetic and computer skills may be required depending on the machinery used.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail to ensure parts and products meet quality specifications.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, loads, and operates machines to produce goods according to production schedules and specifications.
• Inspects products and ensures they meet quality standards, using measuring tools and instruments.
• Adheres to safety regulations, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Records material usage, downtime, and production data.
• Communicates production status, problems, and solutions to supervisors and other team members.
