Machine Operator 1 - 1st Shift
About The Position
Red Diamond is seeking dependable, hard-working individuals for a First (1st) Shift Machine Operator position. This is a 4-day work week role, Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with occasional Friday overtime. The company has been crafting coffee and tea since 1906 and was recognized as one of Birmingham’s Best Places to Work in 2025. This role is for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up consistently, follows safety and quality standards, and works well as part of a team. The position requires standing and walking for extended periods (10 hours per shift) in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (or relevant machine operator experience)
- Stable work history and consistent reliability
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work at a fast pace and meet production goals

- Demonstrated ability to stand for long periods and read instructions clearly
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment and perform duties that require prolonged walking and standing.
- The essential functions of this job include standing for 10 hours per shifts.
Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating high-speed coffee or tea packaging machines
- Performing quality checks to ensure every product meets our standards
- Replenishing materials and maintaining a clean, safe work area
- Assembling and labeling boxes, and supporting other production tasks
