Machine Operator – 3rd Shift – Zeeland, MI
About The Position
These positions are responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of the product through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line and sanitizing equipment. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying the supervisor if machines require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Proficiency in reading and writing; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels. These positions could work in any department of this meat processing facility and include sanitizing equipment.
Requirements
- Must have 3 months experience listed on application (can be multiple employers but must add up to 3 months).
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- The Team Member will stand, walk, bend, squat, stretch, climb, push, pull and reach as required in all areas.
- The Team Member will stand 8-10 hours on hard floors.
- The Team Member will perform repetitive motions as required in many areas.
- The Team Member will work in a cold environment in the mid 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
- The Team Member will work in a damp environment.
- The Team Member will work on slippery walking surfaces.
Nice To Haves
- Prefer 3 months of Machine Operator Experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
