The Blanchard Operator plays a key role in producing high‑quality parts by grinding components flat and parallel to customer‑specified thickness and finish requirements. This position supports safe operations, on‑time delivery, and continuous improvement by maximizing first‑run quality and meeting router specifications. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Basic reading and math skills (minimum 8th‑grade level)
Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to work on your feet in a production environment

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of manufacturing or machining experience preferred

Responsibilities

Review routers, blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine proper machining sequences
Set up Blanchard grinding machines by positioning parts using block‑ins and angle blocks
Adjust and regulate machine controls to achieve required thickness and finish
Monitor operations, inspect parts, and identify defects to maintain quality standards
Troubleshoot production issues and adjust processes to meet customer specifications
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues
Notify supervision when additional resources or repairs are needed
Meet daily production schedules and quality expectations
Accurately complete production and quality documentation
Communicate effectively with teammates to maintain workflow continuity
Actively participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
