About The Position

Mars Snacking is hiring for Machine Operator (Varying Levels & Shifts) at their Elizabethtown, PA facility, which manufactures DOVE Chocolate. There are open positions for Process Machine Operator and Machine Operator (Team Member). The role involves ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities include operating, monitoring, and performing changeovers on machinery, conducting quality checks, maintaining records, and assisting other associates and teams as needed. Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing role (for Process Machine Operator)
• 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing (for Machine Operator Team Member)
• Basic analytical and mathematical skills
• Proficient using laptops, iPads, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Email, etc.)
• Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
• Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
• Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
• Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
• Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions

Nice To Haves

• Technical Degree or Certification
• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing (for Process Machine Operator)
• Food or beverage manufacturing experience
• Experience with Weever software
• Maintenance knowledge or capabilities
• Forklift experience
• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing setting operating a variety of machines (for Machine Operator Team Member)
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Knowledge of inventory control principles
• Experience with SAP or other warehouse management system

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational efficiency, conformance to standards, product quality and drive continuous improvement
• Responsible for the efficient production of quality products
• Operate, monitor, and perform changeovers on machinery
• Train and assist other associates as needed, supporting Production Coordinators and the Maintenance team
• Conduct temperature checks, complete Critical Control Point (CCP) and Operational Prerequisite Program (OPRP) checks daily
• Maintain accurate records of quality checks and keep detailed logbooks
• Any ad hoc requests
• Performs activities and job tasks within a manufacturing line or area
• Operates equipment and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner
• Takes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause level
• Able to assess equipment operating reliability and perform routine repairs, adjustments, and malfunction troubleshooting
• Performs and/or works with Maintenance to complete equipment preventative maintenance (PM)
• Performs quality control (QC) tasks such as metal checks, inspection of date codes, item numbers, dump logs, etc.
