Machine Operator is responsible for performing tasks involved in the fabrication of copper tubing components according to router or work instructions. This role involves reading job specifications, adjusting machinery, and ensuring material requirements are met. The operator will follow manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision, potentially using hand or power tools. They will work on semi-routine assignments and may rotate between workstations during the assembly and fabrication process. Key responsibilities include obtaining and performing First Piece Validation, inspecting production pieces, troubleshooting machinery, performing basic repairs and cleaning, and observing machine operations to detect defects or malfunctions. The operator must also report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors and maintain a clean and orderly work area according to the 5S housekeeping system.
