About The Position

Machine Operators are responsible for all processing, markers, customer projects, Laser-marking functions, and cable manufacturing as directed by Supervisor or Warehouse Manager. This role involves fulfilling value-added work orders by operating equipment, handling material, performing quality checks, and completing paperwork. The operator will also assist with or oversee machine setups and operations, document machine setup data, and maintain appropriate records. Responsibilities include performing machine maintenance and repairs using hand tools, ensuring quality standards for kitting and packaging, and monitoring reports through the WireMasters ERP System to manage workload and ensure on-time delivery. The role also requires answering emails concerning Value Added orders, maintaining customer service and professionalism, and using statistical methods to ensure quality standards. Processing tickets, including daily monitoring, pulling, cutting, and transferring material using the ERP system, is also a key function. Maintaining an orderly workplace and following safety procedures are essential. Support for WireMasters Core Values is expected. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong written, technical, and oral communications skills.
  • Basic Math Aptitude.
  • Physical Dexterity Skills.
  • Organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Reading skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfills value-added work orders by operating equipment, handling material, performing quality checks, and completing paperwork as necessary.
  • Assists or oversees a variety of machine setups and operations.
  • Documents machine setup data, maintains appropriate records and files.
  • Performs machine maintenance and repairs as required - use of hand tools.
  • Ensures quality standards are met with kitting and packaging requirements.
  • Monitors reports through the WireMasters ERP System and manages workload in order to maintain on time delivery and ship dates.
  • Responsible for answering emails concerning Value Added orders as necessary.
  • Customer service and professionalism when dealing with stakeholders.
  • Use of statistical methods ensuring quality standards for all machines and orders.
  • Responsible for processing tickets as needed, including daily monitoring, pulling, cutting, and transferring any material using the ERP system.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly workplace at all times.
  • Follows safety procedures in accordance with approved training and reports any dangerous conditions to management immediately.
