About The Position

With general supervision, sets-up the proper tooling needed in the thermoforming machines and operates the machines per job specifications. This is an onsite position located out of our Huntley, IL Facility.

Requirements

  • Ability to continuously lift, reach, stand, and walk throughout the day.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Uses and reads calipers.
  • Self-starting, willing to learn, does other tasks as required.
  • Knowledge about basic math and English skills to complete paperwork.
  • Has good communication skills and is an active team member.
  • Maintains a 97% attendance record.
  • Keeps accurate daily box counts.
  • Runs the specified number of parts on each job.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with inspectors and operators.
  • Knows and verifies specification requirements of each part.
  • Maintains a safe, organized, and clean work area.
  • Assists in setting up machines as needed
  • Experience as a skilled manufacturing operator
  • 6 months of machine operator experience
  • Ability to read, write, and perform math skills
  • Understanding of manufacturing and quality control
  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months set up operator experience
  • Good manual dexterity and agility.
  • Good leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-year previous production line experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Sets up thermoforming machines for operation per job specifications.
  • Mounts dies and molds and loads rolls of raw materials into the machine.
  • Engages machine to produce thermoformed parts and maintains continuous operation.
  • Performs troubleshooting and quality control checks.
  • Performs routine maintenance on thermoforming machines.
  • Completes required job tickets.
  • Works with Packer/Inspectors to resolve any quality issues as needed.
  • Directs Packers/Inspectors to work in other areas when machine is down for troubleshooting or set up.
  • Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Performs other work duties or functions as assigned.
